Clearhaus/QuickPay
This article covers the details of the historical standard payment setup for BetterNow customers. It includes:
- Getting started
- Supported payment methods
- Currencies
Intro
This is the standard setup for accepting payments through BetterNow. It uses Clearhaus, Swish and PayPal as payment acquirers, and QuickPay as the payment processor.
You will not receive access to your QuickPay account, as almost everything can be managed directly from your BetterNow dashboard. Clearhaus settlement reports can also be downloaded from the dashboard.
Getting started
To get started, you will need a card acquiring agreement with Clearhaus. We will initiate the process and invite you to complete the application.
You will need to provide documentation about your organisation, including audited annual reports, articles of association, bank account documentation, registration documents, and photo identification and proof of address for all board members.
Swish payouts are handled directly and not through Clearhaus. Setting up Swish follows the same guidelines as described here: Swish handel
PayPal payouts are also handled directly through PayPal and not through Clearhaus. Contact us if you would like to set this up.
For pricing details, see Payment Processing
Payment methods
In addition to Visa and Mastercard, Clearhaus can also help you accept Vipps and MobilePay payments. These appear as alternative payment methods in the standard donation form, and donors can choose them during checkout. The payment is then completed in the Vipps or MobilePay app.
To set up MobilePay or Vipps, please contact us first, as we need to complete a small configuration beforehand.
Through QuickPay, we can also set up Swish and PayPal. See above for more information.
For payment cards it doesn't matter where the card was issued (with a few exceptions). On payment card statements, your organisation name will appear. The name is limited to 22 ASCII characters, so if it exceeds this limit, it will be truncated.
If you would like a different statement name than the current one, please contact our support team.
Currencies
We support this setup in all regions where Clearhaus operates — meaning all of Europe, including the UK.
We also support Multi-currency setups, allowing you to accept donations in several currencies.
