Fundraiser defaults for fundraisers
Fundraiser defaults are the pre-set settings and suggestions that the fundraiser will see when they create their fundraiser. These pre-set suggestions help guide the fundraisers as they customise their page. Each project sets these fundraiser defaults, so they can be customised to the specific project, campaign or event. When your campaign is over or, for some other reason, you want to end a project, you can either finish, hide, or delete a project. You can delete, hide, or finish a project from the project page. If a project is already finished, you can delete it later. If a project is already hidden, then you can finish or delete it. Delete a project If you delete a project, it will be deleted forever. In order to publish a draft project, find it in the list of projects in your dashboard. Sort by all projects that are labelled 'awaitingapproval'. Press the cogwheel icon and choose 'View and manage project'. To create a new project, you have to be registered as an administrator for your charity. Log in with your administrator login, and go to your dashboard. In the dashboard, click on "Projects" in the sidebar on the left. Then click on "Create a new project" as shown below. The fundraising tool section allows you to publish a package (or "fundraising toolkit") with various helpful materials for your fundraisers. You must host the package yourself (e.g. as a .zip file), then add the link in the administration dashboard. You can specify a link for each project, so if you have campaign-specific materials, they can have their own materials available. The header banner is highly responsive, so there are lots of options for setting it up. This is how the header banner is shown on various devices: Mobile phone: 16:9 format. On fundraising pages, the centre of the image will be completely covered by the fundraiser’s profile image, as you can see in the example below. Project pages and landing pages have the whole image shown in 16:9. Projects can have various states. These states determine their visibility and whether they are open for fundraiser creation. In the table below, we have summarised all the states a project can have. Events have the same states as projects and follow the same rules as projects.Few readersDisable donation (Scheduled)
You can schedule a day on which donations are disabled for a project. You will find this setting at the bottom of the edit project page. If set, the fundraisers for the project will accept donations until the end of the day set. For example, if set to 2021-12-31, a donation given at 23:59:59 on New Year's Eve will be allowed, but a donation given at midnight will not be accepted. All organisation/charity accounts start out with a default project. The name is " your organisation name 's General Work". This project is the default project of your organisation, and is the only project that cannot be deleted—neither by BetterNow nor by you. Donations made to your organisation outside of a fundraiser on all BetterNow platforms, etc., will be attached to this project. We strongly encourage you to keep this project as general as possible.
