Company fundraisers

When users pick the fundraiser type 'Company', it will impact the further steps in the fundraiser creation flow and also the communication.

We will collect information about the company and the contact person or persons creating the page. Unlike most other fundraisers, we create the user simultaneously with the fundraiser.

The information you collect

In addition to the usual information, we also collect the following fields:

  • Company name
  • Company registration number
  • Contact person (name, title, email, phone) of the person creating the fundraising page

By default, the company name and the name and email of the contact person are obligatory. You can change the setting so that the company registration number and/or the contact person's phone number is also required.

You can edit the settings for whether the registration number and phone should be obligatory from your dashboard under: Account → Basics → Corporate fundraiser settings

The fundraiser page

The fundraising page resembles standard fundraising pages, with the only difference being that we display the company name instead of the contact person's name. We also prompt for a logo rather than a profile image.

The email flow

Company fundraisers differ significantly from individual ones. A fundraiser might be created by a company with 1,000 employees, where emails are sent to the person handling the practical implementation, while decision-making happens at a higher level. Or it might be a 10-person company where the CEO is running the fundraiser.

Companies also fundraise for different reasons than individuals and need other types of support. That’s why we have a separate set of emails with tips and tricks tailored to companies. The fundraiser coach emails, milestone emails, and new donation notifications are the same as those in the standard email flow, as they continue to perform well for companies.

In Denmark and Norway, we can differentiate emails based on the company’s size. We look up the company in the national register before sending emails. From the register, we obtain the number of employees, which we use to tailor the fundraising advice.

In other countries, we share a universal set of tools for companies—covering both large and small—with a single email flow.

The emails are also personalised based on the fundraiser’s progress. This means the content varies depending on how close the company is to reaching its goal.
